ZEEKR SOFTWARE UPDATE OS 1.1: RELEASE NOTES

This page covers software update OS 1.1, the first over-the-air (OTA) update to the software that runs on the Zeekr 001.

It includes refinements and enhancements for the charging, driving assistance, navigation, and infotainment systems, plus lots of smaller improvements – all of which you’ll find explained below.

Installing the update

When your car is ready to receive the update, you'll see a notification pop up on the screen.

To install it, please make sure your car is in Basic or Advanced Privacy Mode. You can do this by selecting:

1. Settings (press the car icon on the left bottom corner)
2. Safety & Security
3. Privacy
4. Select Basic or Advanced Privacy Mode.

You’ll then receive all software updates as soon as they become available for your car.

Charging

You’ll now be able to charge your car even more conveniently because the moment you select a charging station as the destination in your car’s navigation system, it will begin optimizing the battery’s temperature for fast charging. You will also notice that when you ask the system to add stations automatically to a planned route, it will only add those that can deliver 50 kW or more.

Driving assistance systems

The update makes using your car’s Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS) a smoother and more personal experience. For example, Adaptive Cruise Control now provides a more comfortable drive no matter if you are traveling uphill, downhill or on a flat road. Lane Keeping Assist is now better tuned for narrow roads for more comfortable driving. And if you want to manually manage any of the ADAS features, from Lane Keeping Assist to Overspeed Warning or Driver Distraction, you can now add new Quick Settings buttons to do just that. To do this, go to the Edit section for the Swipe Down Menu.

Navigation system

We’d like to extend a big thank you to everyone who participated in our recent navigation survey. The findings contributed directly to the improvements we’ve made in this update. Designed to deliver a more reliable and clear experience, they include:

• Improved text message when cancelling active navigation route.
• Clearer visualisation of State of Charge for next stop.
• Improved charge planning prioritizing public chargers and chargers capable of delivering 50 kW or more along the designated route.
• Improved traffic analysis for more up-to-date traffic information.
• Clearer indication of your car’s position in the navigation interface.
• Display brightness in the detailed navigation junction pane now automatically adjusts when driving at night.

Infotainment system

In the infotainment system, you will find a range of new apps available to download from the app store. Additional improvements have also been made throughout the system. The driver distraction rules have been adjusted, for example, to prevent the system from restricting you from using certain functionalities while driving. Situations involving the time being shown incorrectly or users being unexpectedly logged out of the system have also been resolved.

Other improvements

Driver Monitoring System (DMS):
Warnings that the view of the camera used by the Driver Monitoring System is blocked by the steering wheel have been significantly reduced, as has the frequency of warnings from this system overall.
